The Lion Saga continues…
by Holly LanesmithOn Tuesday, I began sharing with you the strenuous process of obtaining 2 bronze cast lions…
And I kind of left you at a cliffhanger, since I couldn’t fit all the details in just 1 email.
Now, you might be wondering why I care so much about sharing this story… I have to tell you, I really believe there’s an important lesson to be taken from this story - one that has impacted me and I believe will impact you as well.
And if you already read the first half of the story, I’m sure you can’t wait to hear what happens next...
So sit back, relax, and allow me to share part 2 of A story of 2 lions:
After going through all the hassle of having the lions delivered too early, realizing they didn’t even fit the pedestals, and then having the pedestals re-constructed, we were more ready than we’d ever been to simply receive the lions and to have them placed on the pedestals.
And so here’s what happened next: they were scheduled to arrive last Thursday.
But on Wednesday afternoon, the gate security guard tells us that a delivery truck is here, so Holly lets him in, thinking it could perhaps be the lions…
But it wasn’t the lions just yet; instead… a forklift delivery man named Sam.
He shows up with a forklift tucked away in an 18-wheeler truck, parked outside of our driveway, and with him the security guard shows up on his golf cart.
And Sam, in an unpolished way, repeatedly says, “I was told to bring the forklift and to NOT park it on the pavers. I mean, I don’t THINK it would damage it, but I was told not to park it on the driveway anyway, just to be safe,”
...That wasn’t the only red flag about this situation.
A work vehicle of this type also has to be approved by the HOA of our community. So we’re standing around, scratching our heads, wondering, is this 8,000 pound forklift going to damage our pavers?
...Because Sam sure isn’t going to take any responsibility if it is!
And better yet, we’re thinking, are we even allowed to store it on our property for a full day? The lions aren’t supposed to arrive until tomorrow...
So, after 15 minutes of back and forth, calling the head of security, seeking permission from the head of the HOA, we decided to drive the forklift up the driveway and pull it around the corner behind some shrubs, and keep our fingers crossed.
The security guard seemed to be okay with that and the forklift driver agreed that he was sure it would be fine, as long as we didn’t report him for any pending damage.
So it was settled. We’d keep the forklift in the front yard overnight just until the lions would arrive the next day. But then we get a call that the movers could only deliver the lions on Friday!
So now we’re stuck with an unregistered, unapproved forklift for an extra night, crossing our fingers doubly, hoping we won’t get written up.
And so finally, this past Friday, a monumental day indeed. The lions arrived!
And you know what? It was the easiest lion delivery I’ve ever experienced. Lol!
The movers came in; they were very adept at their job, and they transported these gigantic creatures from the back of their truck onto the pedestals of our front entrance.
I want you to know that I share all of this to make a point: I had to go through tremendous personal and financial growth for this story to even have taken place.
Thinking about where I was 30 years ago, barely making $20k/year…. to where I am today, paying more than my annual salary at that time to get these lions in front of my house.
It gives us all a good laugh; the bumps and hurdles of getting two 600 pound bronze lions to the front of my house.
But when I stop and think about it, what really hits me is the magnitude of growth required of me in order for this to even be possible.
And that’s what your dream requires of you as well.
It requires you to be all in. It requires you to persevere even when things feel tough. Even when one obstacle after another presents itself.
I could have easily given up after the first or second obstacle, but I had my heart set on getting those lions, and because of the growth I’ve experienced, I knew that giving up wasn’t an option.
Those lions would make it to my front door. I held my image, and of that I was certain!
So that’s one realization I came to after going through this whole experience with the lions. But I also realized something else…
Whether you like talking about it or not, your dream requires financial growth. Period. End of story.
Money is important in all of our lives. Not for the sake of money itself, but for what money allows us to do in our lives.
Have you ever considered the financial goal of doubling your income? Most people probably hear that or think of that, and write it off as impossible. Or maybe you’ve never even considered it...
But what I want to tell you right now is that this is not only possible, but very achievable.
If I can do it, many times over, a high school dropout who believed himself to be dumb and stupid for the first half of his life, I have absolute certainty that you can too.
I have captured and recorded the fundamental process and system for you to double your income into a concise and easy-to-follow program.
No matter what your current line of work is, what industry you’re in, or what you’re currently making.
And this very program is going to be released next week, the day before Thanksgiving as our Black Friday special - The Double Your Income Achievement Program.
I’m going to tell you more about the bonuses and killer offer details in the coming days, but for now, I want you to seriously consider this idea that 1) it is possible for you to double your income, and 2) it is possible for you to do so a lot more quickly than you may realize.
But you have to take the next step to gain access to the understanding and awareness of what you need to do to make this a reality in your life.
And I know that the formula and process I've laid out will get you there.
So be on the lookout.
And circle Nov 24th as the day for when you're going to launch a new chapter in your life and in your finances.
Why not start with the goal of doubling your income?
