A couple days ago I posted a blog to give you an update on what’s been going on in my life and what I’ve been learning and thinking about. And I had every intention to share with you a number of different experiences I have had in the last couple months, but then I got a bit carried away with telling one story in particular… if you haven’t read that email yet, I’m going to suggest you’ll want to go back to it in your inbox and give it a read – the lesson I learned from a man named Jim. It was a story of one of the most powerful experiences I have personally had in my own life.
Anyway, because the telling of that story turned out to be longer than I had originally anticipated, I thought I would save some of my other stories for another time. And so here we go.
This summer has been a magnificent one for me. Life is beautiful, isn’t it! As I think on this, my mind goes to one of Thomas Troward’s teachings, that life is always for fuller expression and fuller expansion. And I see this showing up in my own life. A lot of people could look at my life and think that I have “arrived.” And on the one hand, I have achieved a considerable degree of success in my life, but what I have come to learn is that my spirit, and the spirit of every human being on this planet, is continuously seeking fuller expression and fuller expansion. We never “arrive.” And that’s a good thing.
And so, when increasing good comes to me, when I make it welcome in my life and receive it, I am always amazed, yet never surprised. For this is an expression of the laws of this universe. It is how God operates and expresses himself in and through the laws of creation.
And I want you to remember, I’m not unique. I’m not special. And there’s also no limit. Just because I have good in my life, doesn’t mean there’s less good for you. And there’s nothing special about me that would indicate that you cannot also create in YOUR life what it is that you desire through the same laws of creation by which this universe operates, and that I have learned to harness in my life.
Anyway, I digress. Summer 2019! Let me share with you some of the other experiences I have had and the lessons I have learned.
One of the really unique things I was able to experience this summer was to have a personal conversation with one of the “Greats” in my industry, Dr. Richard Bandler, who is the inventor and creator of NLP – Neuro-Linguistic-Programming. NLP is a world-renowned methodology to understand and change human behavior patterns, and the work that Dr. Bandler has done is truly incredible and has had a far-reaching impact across the globe.
I had the privilege of speaking with him personally on a day back in June. And it’s not every day that a person gets to connect with one of the “Greats.”
What I have learned is that whenever the opportunity arises to speak with and connect with someone who has done what you want to do, who has achieved above your own current level of results, who knows more than you do about what it is that you want to be, do, and have, never ever turn down that opportunity. You never know what it might lead to.
So that was very cool!
I have also been reflecting on one of my original goals when I entered into this industry and into the field of human potential. I had a dream of having an international speaking business, of traveling all over the world, speaking to audiences in many different countries who had all gathered to learn and to grow. Back at the start of July, I had the privilege of speaking at an event that was put on by a good friend of mine, Andy Hall, in London England. While I was there, even though I have spoken at many international events before, it hit me in a new way that I am truly living my dream.
Whenever you have this realization come to you, it is essential for your own growth and your own gratitude that you pause, allow it to sink in, and send a silent prayer up in thanksgiving.
There are so many people in this world who have never really dreamed, who do not know what it means to dream, who have been told, “Get your head out of the clouds. Be realistic. You can’t do that.” And they go on to live the rest of their lives, hopeless, that this is as good as it’s going to get, that “I’m just not one of the lucky ones. And there’s no point even trying.”
My first mentor, Patrick Hayes, was the first person who opened my mind to the idea and the possibility of dreaming. And I’m so grateful that he did.
You see, I believe that we co-create our lives with God. We are spiritual beings made in God’s likeness, and we have the ability to create. In fact, whether we realize it or not, we are ALWAYS creating. We are either creating by design or by default. And the sad thing is, most people are creating their lives by default, and they don’t even realize it.
I also believe that God puts divine appointments in our lives, that there is such thing as divine intervention where God places someone in front of us who will forever change the trajectory of our lives… if we allow it. And Patrick was one of those key people for me.
So, there I was in London, England, at the start of this month, speaking to a sold-out audience, teaching from one of my favorite passages of all time, The Spirit of Opulence, by Thomas Troward. And again, in that moment, realizing that I am truly living my dream.
From there I went onto Rome, and this is really cool. Another one of my dreams and goals is to eat at every Michelin Star Restaurant in the world. There’s a few hundred of them. Now, the reason you want to eat at a Michelin Restaurant is for the experience. It’s a 3-hour meal. And let me ask you this… who wants to eat alone, especially for 3 hours? You see, this is another thing I’ve learned. The real pleasure of dreaming is that you get to share your dreams with those you love. I don’t want to eat at a Michelin Restaurant by myself. I want to share that experience with the people I love. And so, I decided to host a dinner at a Michelin Restaurant in Rome with some of my best friends in the world. The really cool part is that they literally flew in from all over the world to be there with me. Who has friends like that?!?! They came in from Japan, from Belgium, Poland, Croatia, Canada, England… and I got to share my dream with them.
Check out the photo at the top from the dinner, where they poured liquid nitrogen over a bowl of boiling, rose-infused broth to create an aromatic experience before the next course was served. Truly incredible!
If you think living your dream is amazing, trying living it AND sharing it with the people you love most in the world. I was filled with absolute gratitude, and also, more than ever, filled with total certainty that this is achievable for each one of you. Each one of us can live out our dreams. Every person on this planet has the ability to tap into their God-given resources within, to co-create with God the experiences in their life that they desire. Not just me, but you too!
Not only do I believe this with all my heart, but I also have the evidence to show you it is true.
And now, as I send this message to you, I am just finishing up a series of events in Romania, again, speaking to hundreds and hundreds of people, teaching them the truth of their infinite potential, helping them to open the eyes of their hearts to a new level of awareness that will allow them to also live a life of fuller expression and fuller expansion.
I have been coming to Romania to do these events for 6 years now, and what a privilege it is to get a front row seat to the growth of so many people. This stuff works! It isn’t mumbo-jumbo, pie in the sky. It works, and it works every time you try it.
Stick with me, and my promise to you is that I will show you how.
I believe in you and I believe in your dream!!
