What does our intuition really do?by Holly Lanesmith
The 6th sense, a gut feeling, an inner hunch… whatever you decide to call it, we are all born with an intellectual faculty called intuition.
Have you ever had a bad feeling about something or someone? Perhaps you couldn’t quite put your finger on it, but you just knew deep down that you couldn’t go to that place or trust that person…
And then you discovered that hunch to be spot on!
Perhaps it was your intuition communicating that something was off.
So, what is our intuition? Our intuition is one of our six intellectual faculties. It’s a tool that we can utilize to expand our level of thinking.
But before we reach a heightened level of awareness of it, we need to remember that it’s a mental muscle that needs to be developed.
It takes time, practice, and understanding to truly develop your intuition. In fact, most people haven’t used this muscle enough to even feel in tune with it.
You see, we have to step out and recognize our intuition for what it is. Our intuition operates on the subconscious level, and let’s be honest— most of us aren’t very familiar with how the subconscious mind operates.
Yet, our subconscious mind has more power than we realize.
Carl Jung once said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
But the good news is, once we make the unconscious conscious (once we understand and develop and use our intuition), we will have the power to create the life we truly desire.
Just think about that for a moment.
I know it’s not the simplest concept to grasp, but allow me to break it down this Saturday as I dive deep into the intellectual faculty of intuition during our next Fully Resourced episode.
